Merit Properties LLC seeks Project Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Will oversee construction projects from beginning to end; estimate, plan and manage the project budget, costs and other financial estimates; determine the necessary equipment and manpower; apply knowledge of properties of materials to select appropriate materials; read and interpret architectural plans and drawings; manage vendors, contractors and subcontractors, including planning and scheduling their work; ensure that all work performed by contractors, subcontractors and employees is in compliance with architectural plans and building codes; apply knowledge of engineering methodologies and principles to ensure adequacy of foundations and reinforcements, determine effectiveness of thermal control and sound proofing, and control the installation of electrical and mechanical systems; monitor work performance and productivity; keep track of inventory, tools and equipment; prepare reports regarding job status when necessary; ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes and prepare required OSHA documents; ensure that the right tools and equipment are used to perform the job; collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team; negotiate with external vendors; obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities; allocate and manage resources and delegate responsibilities; conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards; and take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at work site. 40 hours per week. 80% travel to customer work sites in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. Position requires Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering and two years of work experience as Construction Manager, Project Manager, or other construction management related position.
